This is my first entry! WooHoo! I am not in Glasgow yet - matter of fact is I don't leave for a week. But I think getting ready for this year is important so I want to document it. I have all the paperwork I need - which was NOT easy to obtain. Stupid new Visa laws. Amanda (my sister if you don't know that) just arrived to help me prepare and pack this weekend. Exciting! Of course that mean I won't have many clothes until I get there... But that is alright, a sacrifice I am wiling to make ; ).
I am very excited but it hasn't really hit me. I know I'm spending the next nine months abroad, but I don't know I am. I don't think it will hit me until I am settled into my flat and spending time with new people.
Oh. And to explain the name of my journal. I was trying to come up with something as witty as my friend Nimish's but alas I could not. But I chose a name referencing Robert Frost's famous quote "Two roads diverged in a wood and I - I took the one less traveled by." I thought it was fitting for me because 1) I am an English major with a concentration in American Lit and 2)I have traveled very little outside the United States so all these roads I will be taking (real and metaphorical) are little traveled in my eyes.
